Intern Architect Required Immediately in Vancouver



Merrick Architecture is a dynamic design-focused practice of approximately 22 personnel with long-established studios in Vancouver and Victoria. We offer a collaborative environment in which we promote architecture of excellence while celebrating the participation of all employees. Currently we are seeking for immediate employment a BC-registered (AIBC) Intern Architect demonstrating strong design concept and design development skills and offering experience in construction documentation and construction administration phases. Excellent interpersonal, communication and English language skills are essential.

Description:

The successful applicant(s) will possess strong technical knowledge and offer detailed working drawing experience on projects within British Columbia. Mandatory requirements include no less than 3-5 years of applicable experience, a strong working knowledge of the BC Building Code, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Experience in heritage retrofit and adaptive re-use projects will be considered assets. Candidates must offer strong interpersonal, organization and communication skills, complete fluency in English (written and spoken), and be comfortable working in a supportive, deadline-oriented team environment.
